Bar Bruno
A neighbourhood osteria for all hours. Bar Bruno is an Italian restaurant located in Sydney's CBD. Open from morning espresso to evening digestivo.
Bar Bruno is an all-day neighbourhood osteria from Odd Culture Group, located in the Sydney CBD. The intimate space unfolds from morning to night, designed to welcome guests at any hour as their local.
Studio 3AM was engaged to craft Bar Bruno's brand identity. Working closely with the owners, we developed a visual language that captures the warmth and hospitality of a venue that welcomes anyone, anytime.
Our design approach captured this hospitable attitude through an analogue process of hand-painted wordmarks and illustrations. Featured throughout the identity is a dog mascot, chosen for their loyal, friendly and non-judgemental nature, making them a natural symbol for Bar Bruno.

The logomark and illustrations were created by hand using a brush pen. The playfulness of the illustrations match the looseness of the painterly aesthetic.

Dogs are universally read as friendly, approachable and non-judgemental, making them a natural symbol for Bar Bruno. The identity leans into that inclusive, relaxed energy through a simple, memorable logomark.

What sets Studio 3AM apart is their methodology. They take the time to understand the concept, the audience and the feeling you're trying to create, then distill that into a brand identity that feels both considered and completely natural.
Beyond the creative output, Studio 3AM are thoughtful collaborators. They challenge assumptions, ask the right questions and bring a level of strategic thinking that elevates the final result.
I've trusted Studio 3AM on many different projects over the years and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to build a brand with substance, clarity and longevity.
