World Vision Hope Rising

Guidelines helping World Vision tell specific and respectful stories about the communities it supports.

World Vision works across nearly 100 countries, sharing stories from diverse communities and contexts. Studio 3AM was engaged to develop a storytelling framework that guides how stories are captured, selected and framed through imagery and design.

We developed a set of visual and storytelling principles built around careful observation, context and human connection. The framework guides teams towards imagery that reveals the full picture, showing people within their environments, relationships and everyday moments.

From wide perspectives to close observations, each image is selected for the details it carries, the place it sits within and the story it helps communicate. Principles around perspective, context and movement create a consistent approach across different audiences, formats and channels.

The guidelines provide World Vision teams with a shared approach to storytelling, helping communicate change through real lives, real places and real progress.
