Tequila Daisy
A modern restaurant and bar concept inspired by its beautiful Sydney Harbour waterfront setting and the colourful, light and fresh flavours of Mexico.
Tequila Daisy is a modern Mexican restaurant in Sydney. Inspired by the colourful flavours of Mexico, coupled with their signature fresh and light style, Tequila Daisy’s interpretation of this incredibly diverse cuisine is designed to suit a range of tastes and experiences. Customers can keep it quick with a beer and tacos in the bar, or settle in with a set menu and mouth-watering Margies. The name’s origin derives from speculation that the Tequila Daisy cocktail is the precursor to the Margarita. The word ‘Margarita’ translates to ‘Daisy’ in Spanish.
We designed a playful brand identity inspired by Tequila Daisy’s modern take on Mexican cuisine. The wordmark takes on a playful but considered form where letters stretch from wide to narrow, inspired by traditional hand-painted signage. This type treatment extends to the rest of the brand system. The wordmark is supported by a daisy graphic, inspired by traditional ceramic tiling, seen fitted throughout the venue.
The colour pallette draws on a vibrant red to inject energy and a light blue to reflect the waterfront context of the venue. These core colours are supported by earthy off-white and dark brown to ground the identity.
